AVP Theatrical Arts Scholarship Fund

HELP SUPPORT 

Donations collected from the 2022 Cabaret will go to the Annisquam Village Players Theatrical Arts Scholarship Fund.  Any Donations is welcome, a Footlights Sponsorship is available with a Donation of $100 or more.  At this level we will deliver (locally- a 35-mile radius) a bottle of Prosecco for you to enjoy while watching the show!

A Scholarship is available to students aged 8-22, who have demonstrated a commitment to developing their artistic talent in acting, voice, dance and crew or production duties.  Applicants must have participated in at least one AVP production in the past three years. The scholarship funds can be used for any artistic development, such as classes or private instruction in acting, voice or dance, or tuition to a school or camp program offering such instruction. 

Although the AVP has awarded previous Scholarships, we are now hoping to establish a Scholarship Fund with which we can be consistent in awarding a more generous Scholarship each year.  We appreciate your support!

Selection to be based on the following criteria:

1. Completion of the Annisquam Village Players Theatrical Arts Scholarship Fund application.
2. A recommendation from a performing arts teacher or instructor. 
3. A written personal response (300 words or less) to one of the following essay prompts

(Essays must be typed and double-spaced) 

• Please describe how the scholarship would help you develop your skills in the theatrical arts (acting, voice and/or dance) and how this will help you in the future. OR
• Describe your current involvement in theater arts in or outside of school, and what skills you would like to develop further.

1. A statement from the applicant, or a parent or guardian, regarding financial need. 

For tax purposes, the guardian of the scholarship recipient must submit an invoice from the institution or instructor to be paid.
